- Ensure proper hydration
- Tell your doctor if you become pregnant or are breast-feeding to determine if antihistamines are still the drug of choice for your symptoms
- Avoid alcohol and other drugs that can affect your reaction time and alertness
- If you are 65 years or older, you may experience more side effects so use more caution with this drug
- Avoid operating heavy machinery or driving vehicles while using antihistamines as they may cause sedation and reduce alertness
- Keep out of the reach of children and pets
- Wear clothing, protective eyewear, lip balm with SPF and sunscreen when exposed to the sun as you may burn more easily
- This medication can be take with or without food
- Protect this medication from light and store at room temperature in a dry place
