TraumeelRS is a homeopathic medication used for the relief of muscle/joint pain and
inflammation. It works on injuries such as sprains and dislocations. It can also be applied to the back, knees, feet, wrists, and neck1. It contains small quantities of the following 14 different ingredients: achillea millefolium, aconitum napellus, arnica montana, atropa belladonna, bellis perennis, calendula officinalis, chamomilla recutita, echinacea angustifolio, echinacea purpurea, hamamelis virginiana, hepar sulfuris, hypericum perforatum, mercurius solubilis hahnemanni, symphytum officianale2.
The product is available as an ointment, tablet, gel, oral drop, and drinkable ampoule:
Drops: 10 drops TID (30 drops TID for swelling)2.
Tablets: Dissolve 1 tablet in the mouth TID2.
Injection (drinkable): 1-2 ampoules IM, SC, ID, IC, peri-articular injection used 1-3 times per week. Used daily in acute ailments2.
Gel: Apply to affected areas 1-2 times daily (may apply more often prn)2.
Ointment: Gently rub into affected areas morning and evening (may apply more often prn). May apply ointment dressing. Do not apply to open wounds and do not apply to large areas for a long period of time.2
