General tips:
● Avoid driving, operating heavy machinery, or any task that requires you to be fully alert until you are familiar with how this drug will affect you.
● When lying down, rise slowly to avoid feeling dizzy.
● This drug has been associated with being habit-forming after long-term use.
● You can become tolerant to the effects of this drug, especially with long-term use or the use of higher doses
● If you find yourself taking this medication on a regular basis, sudden discontinuation may result in withdrawal side effects
● Avoid other sources of acetaminophen (Max. daily dose of 4 g)
● This drug may affect certain lab tests.
● Avoid concurrent consumption of alcohol
● Use in G6PD deficiency may result in anemia
● If you are pregnant/lactating or are over the age of 65, use with caution.
Side effects:
● Common side effects include: constipation, dizziness, sedation, and upset stomach.
● Seek medical attention if you experience any of the following more serious and rare side effects: an allergic reaction (itching, rash, inflammation, etc.), signs of liver toxicity (dark urine, yellowing of skin, light coloured stool, etc.), mood fluctuations, changes in eyesight.
Directions:
● Take 1-2 tablets q 4-6 hrs. Do not exceed more than 12 tablets in 24 hours
● Can be taken with food if it causes upset stomach
● Drink lots of non-caffeine liquids (unless otherwise instructed)
Storage:
● Store at room temperature.
● Protect from light.
● Store in a dry place.
● Keep all drugs out of the reach of children.
