Patient Counselling
Application
1. Wash hands
2. Clean area with mild soap and water
3. Carefully pat the area dry with a clean cloth
4. Apply a thick layer of cream to the affected area. May cover with occlusive dressing to protect area.
5. Wash hands
6. Leave on for 1 to 5 hours and then remove with soap and water. Application time longer than 5 hours will provide no additional benefit.
7. Apply 4 times daily for maximum benefit
Safety
1. Avoid application to open wounds or near the eyes
2. Avoid accidental ingestion
3. Do not share this product with others
4. Tell your doctor before starting any new medications 5. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
Monitoring
Monitor for signs and symptoms of:
1. Skin irritation, burning, itching and pain 2. Redness
3, Blisters at application site
4. Rash or allergic reaction
5. Numbness
6. Change in taste
7. Fever, chills, cough, runny nose, sore throat, body aches 8. Headache, muscle aches, nausea
9. Pale skin, blue or purple skin or lips
