· Beano (alpha-galactosidase) is used to prevent gas production.
· Take Beano with the first bite of food.
· Tablets can be swallowed, chewed or crumbled on food.
· Meltaways should be placed on tongue and allowed to dissolve.
· Take 2-3 tablets or 1 ODT per meal.
· Do not put on food that is too hot to eat or put on food during cooking (heat renders the enzyme inactive).
· It may cause rare allergic reactions (rash, pruritus).
