General:

General:
- Dimeticone is used to treat infestation of scalp hair with head lice (pediculosis capitis).
- Do not use dimeticone if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or in children less than 2 years of age.
- Stop using dimeticone if any allergic reactions occur.
- Do not inhale or swallow dimeticone, and do not let dimeticone come in contact with your eyes, nose or mouth.
- If dimeticone accidentally comes in contact with your eyes, nose or mouth, rinse the affected areas immediately for 10-15 minutes with water.
- Dimeticone does not interact with other medications, however hair and hair tinting products may interact with dimeticone.
- Dimeticone is supplied in a 50 mL bottle and spray nozzle, which must be attached and primed before use.
- Keep the bottle away from open flames or heat sources.
Treatment instructions:
- Inspect scalp hair of the infected individual and all family members or close contacts with a comb.
- Treat everyone with lice on the same day to avoid re-infestation.
- Wet hair completely with dimeticone and leave for at least 30 minutes.
- The appropriate dosage for adults and children 2 years or older are as follows:

- After 30 minutes, comb hair carefully using a lice comb.
- Do not wash the solution out of your hair. Leave the hair to dry for at least 8 hours (eg. overnight).
- After 8 hours, wash the solution out with your usual shampoo.
- After 8 to 10 days, the treatment must be repeated to ensure complete treatment success.
